- Prime Big Deal Days vs. Prime Day: What’s the difference?
Amazon is known for dominating the market when it comes to major sales events. Their Prime Day event, usually held once a year, has become incredibly popular and as a result, Amazon has started to offer more deals throughout the year. Last year, they hosted two events in one year, and this year we can expect a Prime Big Deal Days event in the first half of October. This will be Amazon’s third October sales event, allowing shoppers to prepare for the holidays.

Will there be a second Prime Day in 2023?
Amazon has announced it will be hosting a sales event in the first half of October. We don’t know any official date yet, but chances are we will hear something very soon since October is just around the corner.
This will be the second year in a row Amazon has hosted a deals event in October, which could mean that this new event is becoming a staple part of Amazon’s calendar in the years to come. After all, Amazon’s Prime Early Access Sale (last year’s event) had plenty of deals for consumers to jump on, and with giant shopping events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday coming up fast, Amazon clearly wants in on the fun.
Prime Big Deal Days vs. Prime Day: What’s the difference?
There really isn’t much difference between Amazon’s Prime Day (which always happens earlier in the year) and the upcoming Prime Big Deal Days. Both are significant sales events that Amazon hosts and will offer many deals on great products — including smartwatches and fitness trackers. The most significant difference is clearly the date, as we know that the Prime Big Deal Days is coming in early October this year.
We anticipate this event will offer many attractive deals that will set the tone for holiday shopping leading up to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The Prime Big Deal Days event is an excellent option if you prefer not to wait until November to take advantage of discounts. We expect that there will be great deals in every shopping category, similar to those offered during the regular Prime Day event.
Do you need to be a Prime member to save on Prime Big Deal Days?
Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days are exclusively available for Prime members. This isn’t very surprising if you’ve tuned in to these sale events before as being a Prime member is the best way to save. It’s possible that you may find some deals on Amazon that don’t require a Prime membership, but the best deals will require one. However, suppose you prefer not to sign up for a Prime membership. In that case, other major retailers are likely to have some deals in order to compete with Amazon during this time, which could lead to a potential gold mine on some products elsewhere as well.

Amazon Prime has long since evolved from the days when it merely offered free two-day shipping and a burgeoning library of original shows. Prime now includes a music service, one of the most robust TV show and movie streaming services on the market, unique deals for its members — like free Twitch subscriptions and exclusive Whole Foods discounts — plus access to exclusive deals, especially on Amazon's unofficial-official holidays, like the upcoming Prime Big Deal Days.
Amazon Prime is a subscription service that gives you free two-day shipping; access to millions of movies, TV shows, and songs; special deals on other services (like Twitch and Whole Foods); and access to exclusive Amazon deals.
